Health & Safety Prevention Information

Feather River Camp is located in a high-fire danger area. Candles, lanterns, fireworks, matches, and all flammables are strictly prohibited by the U.S. Forest Service at all times.
Smoking is permitted only in the designated smoking area located at the barbeque pit on the eastern side of the Dining Hall.

Please back your vehicle in when parking to allow for easy evacuation in case of an emergency.
The speed limit in camp is 5 mph at all times. Young children can easily turn a corner and run into the road.
Roadways should not be blocked in case of an emergency.
Bikes, scooters, skateboards, etc. should never be on the patio or veranda.
Per state law, helmets must be worn by riders under the age of 18.

There are train tracks that run adjacent to camp on the eastern border. While exciting to watch from afar, please stay over 10 feet away from, and exercise extreme caution around, the physical train tracks. Debris from trains can easily fly off while a train goes by.
Walking, playing, or placing items on the track is prohibited, illegal and is considered trespassing by the railroad.
Campers under 18 should be accompanied by an adult when near the train tracks.
Trains pass frequently and cannot stop easily — please keep your family and yourself out of harm’s way.

Swimming on camp property is only allowed in the swim area and when a camp lifeguard is on duty.
Campers are not to be on the beach or the swim area if it is closed.
Many OFRC guests enjoy swimming off-site in one of the many swimming holes outside of camp’s property boundaries. Please note that outside of the swim area, swimming is at your own risk. Please use caution as the waters are quite rocky.
